Pc can't handle the load

You need to setup various hardware profiles and boot into the one you need when you start your computer.

For instance copy your current profile into another and disable the scanner and camera in the second profile. Then use it when you do not intend to use these two devices. Create another profile with these two devices but not some of the others.

You have to balance what you need. My Dell couldn't handle all the hardware I pout on it at once either. I separated the devices I needed into four combinations of hardware configurations so I could do what I needed without problems.

My computers are Win98, 98SE, Win2000 however (so I can't give you specific how-to's). I haven't used Me, but you should be able to accomplish separate hardware profiles through WinMe as well.

I need access to all devices without breaking any connections on the host pc, aka"signing on and off profiles".

You answered your own question in the comment of the above poster. If your computer can't handle the hardware and you don't want to do diffrent profiles, then you will need a second computer so that you can have access to everything at one time, or you will need to get rid of some of the hardware as you have right now and get USB devices as replacements of them all. Since USB can handle up to 128 devices.
