I am still having pc freezes. I am recalling my photosuiteIII and Mirascan software freezing first. So maybe I uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers incorrectly? Then it led to the whole pc freezing I get distorted lines across the screen. Usually butnot always in MS Internet Explorer, shockwave,and in MSAccess. System resources are dropping as low as 4%. I keep getting an unknown device in USB device mngr, fixing it and having same problem again within same session of use. When trying to run MiraScan for the scanner it cannot find it. Could a bad USB port cause all these symptoms? Are all of these situations linked somehow, or am I dealing with accumulated issues?
Before responding, I need to add that I have been troubleshooting this for a while and have tried all the basics, like uninstalling Desktop Themes, and updating MS Internet Explorer *fix, System Tools File checker, clearing temp files and some other little things, so please let me know if my next step needs to be to wipe drive clean and start from fresh. Just concerned it may be a bad driver and that it will begin to have the same problem after reinstalling it. Is this a hardware issue?…the memory card…the video card…the sound card..bad port?
