Here are my PC specs:
1GB 667 RAM
Emaxx MCP61P-AVL
AMD 64 X2 5000
on board NVIDIA video
Okay..I am not that too technical but i have knowledge on some stuffs about computer. My computer wont boot normal. when i turn on my pc, the CPU fan is working , the PSU fan is working, i can hear my HD running but no video or error beep sounds.
what i did was to reset all the cables and the memory. still the same (Darn!). then I remove the memory then i start hearing continuous multiple short beep sounds. then i turned the pc off and reset the CMOS setting jumper and then return the memory and the cmos normal jumper settings. but still it has no video or beep sounds.
then i checked the CPU if it is fried. seems it is not since i cannot see any burned marks on it or smells burned.
my question are
1. is my memory ok since when it is inserted there is no beep sounds and all Fans are running?
2. Is my motherboard dead? or it is ok since there are beep sounds when memory is remove?
3. What should my next step on troubleshooting?
