I have a dell(pc1), pc with xp, What started happening is the light on the monitor led is blinking green when I turn it on and nothing comes up with no beeps. I swapped HD, power supply, video card, ram, nothing changed. I took processor out of pc1 and swapped it with working pc2, nothing changed but now the good pc2 computer wont boot and the monitor is blinking on both when I turn it on. After about 10 minutes pc2 is booting up.
I am wondering if their is a problem with the processor and something got hot causing pc2 not to boot until it cooled down. Does it sound like the MB and processor are bad since when I put the good processor in pc 1 nothing changed and still didnt boot and then when I took processor out of pc 1 and put it in working pc2, pc 2 wouldnt boot and monitor just blinked. THen I put the good processor back in pc2 and it wouldnt boot for about 10 minutes? What do you think?confused?
