I have an HP Media center desktop that I have pretty much hosed. I would like to recover it using the recovery partition but it said that there was no master boot record. So I put in a win98 disk and set that partion to active. Now when it boots, it shows the hp recovery screen and then goes to a blue background with a cursor. I also have a windows XP home disc. Is there any way to use the tools on the XP home disc to recover my computer from the recovery partition?
