In October I built a pc for my step-son including a cdrom and cd/rw. Everything worked fine. A couple weeks later he started messing with it and now in “My Computer” the cdroms are listed as Removeable Drives. On boot-up and in Device Manager, they are both listed as cdroms. I’ve tried removing removing them from Device Manager, then shutting down, removing the ide cables from both cdrom drives, then rebooting, removing all references in the registry for both cdroms, shutting down, reinstalling, and rebooting and every time I go into “My Computer”, they still show up as removeable drives. How do I get My Computer to show them as CD Rom drives?
