PC Speed

By galehickey2 ·
I bought a pc with .9G Pentium 3 cpu
and a 20G HD. BUT.......the memory is 128MB.
If I attempt to open up, say Word, it takes forever. The HD is only 1/4 used so that is not a problem. Could the memory be causing this.I
have never seen a pc as slow as this is to operate. Any ideas.

You can start by deleting all temp files. Then defrag your hard drive. Thirdly you can add some more memory to your system. You can add another 128 stick to bring it up to 256mb of memory. Hope this helps.

running xp you really should have a min. of 256mb of memory but 512mb would be preferable
