PC Start Problem

I have been using Dell GX260 since last 3 years, due to illness I could not used it for 6 months, now when I started PC it is started properly and worked for 30 minutes approximately but after that It is halted, i restarted again some bios error shown and now it is not starting at all. But one thing I noted its power LED Becomes amber,
HDD lights show progress for some time
Power Supply working
CPU Fan working
CD drive working
Please help to solve this problem.

Change the cmos battery

And reset the BIOS to what it needs to be

After changing the Battery.

The main things to do are set the Date & Time and then try Performance Defaults then exit the BIOS saving the changes.

amber light on optiplex GX260

The steady Amber light usually indicate a bad mobo. try Removing all, expansion, memory, Cards, if still same you will need to replace the mobo, If you get a Green light with just the RAM then an expansion card or peripheral might be the problem.

If I remember correctly didn't the 260 and 270 have capacitor problems? What you need to do is have a good look at the capacitors on the mobo, if the top shows a bulge or there is brown liquid oozing from if you will need to replace the mobo!
