PC to PC communication

By jewel.hefner ·
I have a project that has 80 pc's, we are on a domain, there are 6 unit managers for this project. The manager would like to be able to type a message to an individual pc, so the user would be able to see it then respond to the message. users would not be able to message others just the unit manages. any help?

Their are plenty of IM packages free and not so free that you could utilize but it will also let anyone who has it, chat with each other.

If you have MS-Server 2003, I would suggest setting up a small Sharepoint site, the service is free with Server 2003. And then you could DL some templates for project coordination.

But other wise what your asking for would be a custom app.

Look into "net Send"... Slap it in a VB program, enable a service, and you are good to go... its really so old that no one would know they could do it even if they had the ability.
