PC won’t load past post

Hey, guys. Little Problem.

My PC:
Asus K8V
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
2048 MB Corsair DDR SDRAM PC-3200
(1) Western Digital Cavalier 250 GB EIDE
(1) Western DIgital Cavalier 500 GB EIDE
ATI Visiontek X1950 Pro AGP 8x
Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS
Rocketfish 700W ATX Powersupply

Okay, here’s the problem. I just bought the X1950 GPU. I’d had an X800, wanted to upgrade. So, uninstalled the drivers, and turned off the PC. Installed graphics card, installed new power supply…and not dice. The graphics card is working, I’ve got a picture. It just won’t load past the post. It sticks after it recognizes the USB drives, right before it detects the hard drives. I put my old power supply back in, same problem. I did a little playing with it, and seem to have found what the problem is.

When my Hard Drives are attached, it locks up like that. When they’re not, it boots just fine. Of course, with no hard drives attached, it can’t boot into Windows, kind of defeating the purpose. I can even go into the BIOS (which, by the way, I can’t with my HDD’s attached). But as soon as I reconnect my HDD’s, same damn problem. It’s slightly frustrating, to say the least.

Any help with this would be extremely appreciated. I’m at the end of my rope here.
