When cold booting, the PC was taking a considerably long time to reach POST.
There was no problem with warm boots however.
This pre-POST duration began increasing with each cold boot by several minutes until now, where the PC will not POST, no matter how long it is left powered on.
The power supply comes on and the fans spin, but hard drives do not come on, nor CD or FLOPPY.
I have tested the power supply and all appears well. I have also exhaustively reseated all cards and memory sticks and reattached all cables to no affect. I have also cleared CMOS several times.
I have a Biostar M7VIB MotherBoard w/ an Athlon XP 1800 CPU.
Has anyone heard of this before where the POST time increased with each cold boot until the PC will no longer POST?
