pc100,m748mr mother board

Hi . Just resurected an old system and the case cables had been pulled. I have one cable left over from the turbo switch and was wanting to know where to attach it. The connector is a 3 pin flat,white black and orange wires.The manual doesnt specify.

For Pentium and newer processors, there is no turbo mode. So, there should be no place to plug in the switch.

Most 386 and many 486 systems had turbo mode. The purpose of the turbo switch was to allow you to slow the CPU clock speed down to allow older programs to function properly.

The turbo connector is part of the connector that includes the ot wire connectors,it would be adviseable to check the motherboard web site for the manual which will note the connector space
