PCCHIPS M860 board only boots when powered off from wall

hi

got an annoying problem here – AMD cpu PCCHIPS M860 board in a
new built PC works beautifully with XP Pro until you shutdown… On
reboot it doesn’t get to POST just continually flashes the IDE drives
LEDS.

Solution is to power off at the wall or hold the case button in for
10secs.. next boot works perfectly.

I’ve seen a smiliar issue discussed re. NVIDIA cards in certain boards
but this has an AGP ATI 9250… I’ve updated BIOS and tweaked some
BIOS settings but no change – my next port off call was to swap the
video card…

anyone with similar experiences??

thanks
