I have a Windows 98 SE System and everytime I plug in a USB SanDisk Compact Flash Reader and Windows 98 goes to detect new hardware I get blue screens. In the device manager the there’s a big yellow question mark next to the PCI Mass Storage Controller listed under “Other Devices”. The USB Controller is fine. Could the PCI Mass Storage Controller problem be causing the blue screens when I try to plug in the SanDisk Reader. Any suggestions? If I need to install a driver for the PCI Mass Storage Controller, where can I get it? One more thing – On boot up there are 3 PCI Mass Storage Controllers listed under PCI devices, 1 is using IRQ 9 and 2 are using IRQ 11 (if this helps).
