Hi,
My PC has just had a midlife crisis and completely packed up. I managed to get it up and running by stripping out all the cards, flashing the bios, formatting the drive and reinstalling the OS.
In the end I worked out that it was a innoVISION DM1007 EIO IEEE1394 + USB2 combo card that was causing all sorts of trouble.
Now when I boot up I get a message saying…
PCI Scanner – unable to start driver.
So I click ok and get…
PCI Scanner – unable to stop driver.
(or words to that effect)
Once I have clicked ok to that the computer seems to run fine.
Does anyone have any advise?
I am running…
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 rev1
Intel Core2 660@2.4GHz
3GB RAM
Radeon x600
Creative Audigy 2 ZS (WDM)
Belkin FireWire 800 3 port PCI card
Windows XP SP3
Many thanks
