PCI SIMPLE COMMUNICATIONS CONTROLLER

By jstricks ·
My PCI SCC has a yellow question mark by it in the Device manager of Windows XP, and it is telling me

"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 2
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver."

When I click "Reinstall Driver," it says that it cannot find the software for the driver. What should I do? Any suggestions?

Thanks

This is likely your modem.
(I get the same message for an Ambient/Intel HAM modem.)

Identify the modem, or chipset on the modem, and dowload the latest drivers for it.

First check the type of this device. This device might be a Sound Card, Modem or Network Adapter.
and put the cd (u must have received it with ur computer) and search for appropriate device category. This will install the driver and will ask you toreboot the system. If the problem remains the same you must obtain the device type and then its driver accordingly from www.driversguide.com

Hope this helps :-)
