PCI Sound card

by frawser7917 . Updated 16 years, 6 months ago

I am using Windows vista ultimate SP2. My built in sound card in the mother board is not working. So I bought a PCI sound card. It is working fine. But whenever I restart the computer I have to set this PCI audio drive as default drive in the Control Panel>>Sound option to hear any sound. I had also tried re-installing the driver from the CD. Still I have to set this PCI Audio card as default whenever i restart or start. It is automatically setting the default drive as Realtek High Definition Audio which is not working anymore. Is there any way to set the PCI Audio drive permanently as a default audio drive instead of Realtek.

PCI Audio card name – 5-ESS ES1946-1938 PCI AudioDrive (WDM)
