PDA Substitute

By conlonrc ·
I have had a Palm 105, and, with XP, have synced it with Outlook 2000 small business Calendar and Notes, as well as ACT! 4 contact list, in order to give me a small travel PDA which has calendar, contacts and notes. Palm is now out of the picture.
Now, I have a Win7, with Outlook 2010, including Outlook 2010 Calendar and Outlook 2010 Notes, and ACT! 2010, and want to buy a device which will sync these three areas, but I don???t want an IPhone or similar device which will have a monthly fee for a phone or services which I don???t use. What devices can I buy?

Reconsider a 'smart phone'

You don't have to get the cellular service contract if all you are going to do is synch your calendars. You'll pay more up front, but the low end of this class of devices will do what you want and you can ignore the other features. Be sure the device you get uses the same data transmission method as your XP system (USB, Bluetooth, etc.)
