How do i setup a peer to peer network on Windows 98?

Two network cards (one in each computer) and a crossover cable. Go to Panel --> Network --> and setup TCP/IP or MS NetBEUI and then setup File and printer sharing on both computers.

Or you can use two network cards, and a hub. The hub will allow you to add more computers to your peer-to-peer network later and will need straight through cables.

and look up the Networking Section on the bottom of the page for more info on Home Networking. While it includes an Internet connection... it explains your options further.
