pentium 4 drivers

pls i have been finding it hard to get the on-board drivers for pentium 4. Pls can anyone help?

You need to first identify the chip-set on your motherboard.

Usually, you should go to the download page for the motherboard manufacture.

For Intel chip-sets, go here:

Remove any spaces from the pasted link.

For VIA chip-sets, go to

For on-board sound and video drivers, you need to identify the video or sound processor.
Even then, I recommend using ONLY the drivers provided by the motherboard manufacture.

You posted this in the Windows 95 / 98 section of the forum.

Be advised that some P4 motherboards do NOT support running Windows 95.

Also, with some networking components installed, Windows 98 does not function with CPUs faster than 2.1 GHz.

For both Windows 95 and 98, avoid the large RAM bug by installing between 128 MB and 384 MB of RAM.

A great web site at is able to source old drivers no more in support from manufacturers. Need to register as member before accessing.
