Per Server Licences on Windows 2000 svr

By roger ·
We have 25 licences on our Windows 2000 server. We currently have 9 users two using WIN95, four using WIN98 and three using WIN2000 Pro. The WIN2000 Pro users require between 5 and 7 sessions but WIN95/98 only have the 1 session.

Per Server Licences on Windows 2000 svr

Yes..this is correct..several different services in 2000 connect to the server on different levels...Win9X does not..the only things acccessed on WIN95 is the Interprocess Communication. SHared as IPC$

If your running into a licensing issue conver the licesnse from per server to per seat, put the 25 clients in License Manager and life should be good. You can do this conversion only once as per the EULA.

Good Luck
