Web Services to SQL

If you want your web site (hosted on a different server) to read and write to the SQL database, How should you setup the user access if anonymouse internet users are going to be doing the reading and writing eg. online notice board, online store?

Depending on how your Web Site is created, I would use a set SQL Account with limited read/write permissions to only the objects you want accessible.

You can reference this account through ODBC connectivity on your web site. DO NOT use a DB Owner account, such as SA. Manually apply the security and test before you implement.
