My W2K professional PC is working so slow. i have enough RAM and paging file. So i would like to know how to detect what is wrong with it means how do I find out what is causing slow performance

You most likely have a virus or worm that is using up system resources. I think Bugbear was a major resource hog as it tries to send ICMP packets all day.
Download Adaware first and run it to clean all ad and spyware (you'll be stunned how much junk is running in the background). AdAware Free: http://www.lavasoft.nu
Also download and install AVG Free edition(an excellent AntiVirus scanner). http://www.grisoft.com
Make sure you run the AVG update and then conduct a full system scan.
