I currently manage a Windows 2003 Server environment of about 200 servers and I’m unable to do any capacity planning due to lack of reports. We have 30 applications that all act differently and I really need a performance analysis and reporting tool that draws metrics like CPU, memory, process, threads, disk, etc (perfmon counters basically) and can then generate charts, bar graphs, etc to show trends over weeks, months, and eventually years. I was wondering if any of you have suggestions.
I’ve used Eventsentry and NetIQ AppManager but they are focused more on monitoring and alerting. I would like to find something that focuses strictly on metrics and reporting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
