Performing arts organizations

I'm writing a story on "mobile devices at the concert hall. " Inspired by a TechRepublic article on the new Levi's Stadium and other big sports venues and their extensive connectivity via the latest technologies, I wondered what lessons might be learned by counterparts in the performing arts, like symphony orchestras, opera companies and theaters. They also need to be prepared to reach upcoming generations via their mobile devices, despite traditional restriction on their use during performances. People in the performing arts are tinkering with formats -- i.e., "Tweet seats" for people to post during some performances -- but I wonder if there are good sources in the tech world who have this on their agenda and would share their thoughts.
