Permission in Netmeeting

by mdecap . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

Just a quick question for all of you helpful people who wish to help…

Is it possible (and if so, how easy) to allow 1 user (administrator) special permissions? And give others view-only rights without having some one on the computer that Netmeeting is being hosted at?

Vague? I thought so… let me try again…

Ok, C1 is hosting Netmeeting, C2 connects to it, and so does C3.

C2 is used by multiple users, including the administrator who needs to be able to take control of the hostcomputer, without someone authorizing his request. I know this is possible, but the following complicates it, atleast for me…

C2 (users other than admin) and C3 have users that need to be able to only view the desktop, and not want them to even be able to ask to control the desktop.

I am aware of the check box in Netmeeting that automatically accepts requests, and the one that auto-rejects them. But it is my understanding that this is a catch all option, and I need it to be user specific.

Is Netmeeting set up one a user-to-user basis, and if so, can you save settings for one user, that can be called up the next time that user logs in?

Any ideas?

Once again, sorry for the complication, and vagueness…
