Permission setting on Exchange Server

By Diesel ·
We are operating Exchange Server 5.5.
I am trying to find out how to set permissions for a single individual ( Aside from administrators ) to be able to view members of distribution groups through the address book in Microsoft Outlook. Can anybody offer a suggestion ??

Select "hide membership from address book then make that individual the "owner".

From the server where Exchange Server 5.5 is installed, give the individual the Administrators rights. Follow this:
(1) Click Start/Programs/Administrative Tools
(2) Click User Manager.
(3) Double-click the user from the user list.
(4) Click Groups button from User Properties.
(5) Click Administrator from the right pane.
(6) Click Add button.
(7) Click OK.
( Click OK to save and close User Properties.
(9) Go to the workstation and restart and logon as the individual you just change rights. And start Outlook.

The permissions for Exchange Server are not set in User Manager. They are set in 3 different properties pages in Exchange Administrator. First go to Tools|Options|Permissions and be sure "Show Permissions page for all objects" and "Display Rights for Roles on Permissions page" are checked. Then drill down to the object (address book view) you wish to set permissions for, highlight it, and select File|Properties (right-clicking doesn't work in Exchange Administrator).
