Permissions issues???

By williec00 ·
On our intranet we run Outlook 2000 over Windows 2000 Professional on our Dell Lattitude workstations. One of our users' permissions for her inbox are set to "All Employees" reviewer status. She could not change these permissions. When I go in asan admin, it won't let me change it either. We both get the error, "The modified permissions cannot be saved. The client operation failed." This is a BIG security problem for me. Thanks in advance.

Permissions issues???

I have to assume that you are using an exchange server since you questions does not show that.

When you can not change the rights at the Outlook Client, go to the exchange server and change the rights on the client mailbox there.

If that fails, create a new account for this user, export the all the old information from the orginal mail box and inport it into the new one.

Setup the old account to forward any e-mail to the new account.

Setup the client's Outlook to access the new mail box.
