I have a problem when trying to remove old printers that don’t exist anymore on XP Pro Clients. I have tried disconnecting each client and logging in to the Computer directly. I have removed any trace of the 5 printers that we don’t have anymore (Registry & Printers Add/Remove).
When I restart the PC (Still disconnected from network & local only) each of the offending printers pops back up!!
I cannot locate a start up script anywhere. The only batch file exist on the Server2003 Group policy. This is set to remove any printers that don’t exist and add only the 2 Active Printers that do exist.
This is a real headache. Can anybody help?!!
