Hi, I have recently purchased a Philips mp3 player with USB storage (model SA1355/97).When I connect it to my Dell Laptops( 2 Dell Laptops at home) ,the USB drive does not appear in Windows Explorer.Device Manager shows the device to be working properly.I cannot see this drive in Disk Management either.Surprisingly , I connected the USB drive to 3 other similar Dell Laptops at my workplace.In all 3 cases , the device was immediately recognized and appeared under drive F in Windows Explorer.So the device is ok.
All other USB pen drives work with the USB ports of my Laptops,so there is no problem with my USB ports.
Can anyone suggest why this USB device works with some Laptops and not with all ?
