Well, usually we dont help

by The Scummy One In reply to phoenix bios crackers

however, I like the way you asked. So, I will help (this time) (Shhh)

Get out a hammer and chisel. An ice pick can work too but you may damage the pick if done wrong

pull the keyboard off of the notebook, locate the BIOS. With the chisel or ice pick, short out pins 7-9 and 14-21. But they need to be permanently shorted or severed. So use the chesel and hammer and lightly break the connection.
Then dip a small piece of paper into some acetone and fit it between the break.

Get out a small torch, and burn the paper without generating much heat on the BIOS.

After this, wait 10 minutes and put the keyboard back in, power it up and viola :)
If ou found this information useful, please send a check or money order to The Scummy One for the aid. Also, please mark this as helpful :)

TR members do not assist in password recovery or removal.

Do not respond to this thread.

We, the members of TechRepublic - A Resource for IT Professionals, will not assist anyone in the recovery/removal of lost passwords. You may have a legitimate reason to recover/remove a password. However, we cannot verify your motives and will therefore not assist anyone in what may be an attempt at gaining unauthorized access to a computer system. Due to the open nature of this forum, any assistance given to help circumvent security measures, even for legitimate purposes, would be available for unscrupulous individuals to use for illegitimate purposes. This is a risk that we, the members of TechRepublic, will not take. Please do not ask questions of this nature on TechRepublic.

If you have a legitimate need to circumvent a password scheme, please contact the vendor for the software / hardware and request their assistance. E.g. Windows XP password recovery/removal issues should be taken up with Microsoft's technical support, Phoenix BIOS password recovery/removal issues should be taken up with Phoenix Technologies, hard drive password recovery/removal should be taken up with the manufacturer of the hard drive, etc...

It?s a matter of needs no more

by khaled_nni In reply to TR members do not assist ...

Dear all especially how guide me in the beginning. I am working at the Egyptian government as a small employee and as it usual, I fund in my unit an old (Sep/00) 3 PC?s & one laptop with the same brand name Gateway, All 4 is ( P III 733 GHz, 20GB: HDD ) that Category u didn?t need to steal, It?s only need to take care with it, so it survive much longer ?only? if u can ?

In my case I fund 2 of three needs to change the power supply and all needs a fresh O.S winXP with no agency in Egypt for Gateway we replace the genuine power supply with the common one that have mach bigger size and it?s hanging out of the PCs case but it works properly. And about the laptop Solo 9300 it?s only need a fresh o.s. Otherwise it will stay solo in the store waiting to be sold as a corrupted device or a spare part (bade end) fore a device work properly except his old system that stand for more than five years at least.

Due to your suggest to call the Technical Support. I am already has called gateway support and they after asking about the warranty if it expire or not u know the answer so they divert me to MPC corp. Support.
And I am waiting ?
And I will tray the Phoenix Technologies

This story not to get your sympathize or to argue about my rights but to clear my motives and to reevaluate the situation, because in the moment my eyes hit the word?s u mention (You may have a legitimate reason) (we cannot verify your motives) .

my feeling is badly hurt because the delicate situation I put my self in.

Truly you have all the reason to think that way, But may things verify from point of need and the surrounded circumstances to another

Believe me i well try as I can and my only concern is to survive thighs with right way as I can

Thanks all for your precious time ?.. Until we meat again
