Be yourself and be professional

I've had a phone interview before, and it should not be treated any differently than an in person interview. Be yourself, but be professional, avoid using slang and speak in complete and concise sentences. Do not lie about your qualification and don't be afraid to say "I don't know, but I can find out", if something is beyond the scope of your knowledge. Employers are more concerned with your ability to learn new things quickly as well as self motivation and management skills. Nobody knows everything, and every job should be looked upon as a new learning experience. Point out your accomplishments and goals achieved through company projects and how you helped the company save money and capitalize on their current network and on proposals you have made. Put yourself in a positive spotlight and don't be afraid to express your talents and skills. If they do like you, they will be extending an offer letter pretty soon, or calling you in for an in person interview. It worked for me and now I have an excellent job.
