photoshop problem

hi ive got an issue here ive got a laptop and a pc both of them the same version of photoshop cs4 installed on it but i cant figure out why is the photoshop so lagy n slow on my desktop and on the laptop it run fine.my laptop spec is 1gb ddr2 ram, 1.8ghz core 2 duo processor,and intel intergrated graphics running windows xp.but my desktop is 4gb ddr2 ram,2.4 core 2 duo proccesor,nvidia 8800gtx graphics card running vista ultimate.ive try removing and reinstall on the desktop pc still the same prob can someone help me out.

When is the last time you updated the Nvidia drivers?

Here is the most common cause....

It has to do with running Photoshop under Vista with a network printer installed.

If there is a network printer installed, set a local printer as the Default Printer instead.

In some cases, removing the network printer all-together fixed the issue.

I have also heard that a Logitech Mouse driver may cause slowness in Photoshop under Vista.
