Photoshop Tutorials

Anyone know of any “good” Photoshop tutorials? Either a nice site to walk you thru the essentials and most commonly used or a downloadable PDF with the same info would be cool. Also if you know of any nice looking brushes that are free to use. I don’t really want to join any PS forums unless they are highly recommended.
