I devirussed a Dell laptop, after going online for AV upgrade all of the toolbars and icons were replaced with a pictire from the hard drive which formerly failed to appear after owner changed backround. I can no longer get anthing to work as toolbars and icons are missing. All I get is Task manager when pressing ctr-alt-delete. how do I regain control now. Frank Irvine

If you would tell us what operating system you have and what viruses you pulled out of the computer, we MIGHT be able to help. Every virus does different damage. Did you look up each virus to see what it has done to the system so you can repair it?

We're not psychic and can't see what is in front of you.
