How do I connect a Casio piano keyboard to my computer so that I can record music from it to the computer, and later make a CD of the music? I have a CD burner.

Being able to do something like that will depend on a couple of things. My brother plays keyboard and does a lot of music editing and mixing on his PC. You need an input on your sound card that will go to the keyboard (the microphone jack could work), and you would want some sort of music recording and editing software (Acid Music is what my brother uses). Hope that helps.

If you want to connect the audio signal, use the line out, or headphone out jack on the keyboard to the line in! (not the mic in) jack on the sound card.

If your Casio and sound card are MIDI capable, you can transmit your music as a MIDI file from the Casio directly to the MIDI (gameport) input on the sound card.

Then, like answer 1 said, you need recording software.

There are numerous freeware and shareware programs out there. Just check your favorite shareware site.

Just got an e-mail with a link to reviews of recording software.
