I’ve just built an Athlon 1.1 Ghz machine with 256Mb RAm to run windows2000 service pack 2 and am trying to get my PCI sound card to work. I am getting the 128 Sound blaster drivers installed but when I try and play a *.wav file I get a screwed up noise from the speakers. I played a U2 CD just to check and that was fine. I spent a couple of hours removing an re0installing drivers and card but gave up on the possibilties of card failure.
Anyone got any other ideas??
