Hi all,

I need some help as i am new to batch….
thing is like…
i run

ping google.com

capture the result to text file

ping google.com >> test.txt

it captures every thing…
now what i need is only average value in that file….
please revert….

Do a Paste Special, and pick Text (Space Separated). Then average the times.

Nopes … that does not solve my problem…. i want the whole process to be automated….

out of ping result i want only average value to be extracted wuth any command line switch.
Any one please come up with something that seems to solve the problem…

You’d have to do it in VB or C# or Perl or [insert language here]

You’d have to run the ping command, then calculate the averages, then output what you wanted to a file.

I’d do it in Linux with a bash script, but I’m lazy like that…

see the logic for this go something like….

ping google.com -> check the ouput -> check the avg value >> c:\test.txt.

Need the batch code for this task…. guys help.

You can use the CMD Prompt window and type ping google.com check the Ping ,also you can check that at here http://www.whoisxy.com/ping.aspx
