what do you mean by '..& i didnt get the net connection in my system.' ? If you mean your not connected to the network then the ping command wont work. Try typing ' ipconfig /all '
what happens?

checked built-in adapter status/error messages

Hi I'm not sure if you're wireless or wired but its better if you go to your network connections and check your adapter status, i believe there's a message there that gives you a hint as to why you're not able to connect.

3 STEPS U CAN FOLLOW
1.REINSTALL NIC CARD
2.DISABLE THE ZONE ALARM AND IF STILL DIDNT WORK UNINSTALL

if you can't ping gateway,, then

by herie_marie In reply to PING: transmit failed, er ...

(1) Try disabling your firewall aka norton or zone alarm. Those softwares can really block it

(2) Try running your pc in safe mode. If you can ping in safe mode, this proves your computer has a program that disallows you to connect.

(3) If those options above won't do then try to check your tcp/ip setting maybe you have some static gateway hidden there.

(4) If your gateway is automatic then try reinstalling your NIC

(5) After that if its still won't work then if you're wireless, check your access point maybe you're being block, the same thing if you're using ethernet. Check if you're port has been shut or you're being block by the server itself.
