PIONEER 105 not working properly

By eric.farrell ·
My Pioneer 105 has stopped reading DVDs.Any software used with a DVD in the drive (Nero, Explorer, DVD Shrink) just refuses to respond and then crashes when you remove the disk. It has no problems at all with CDs, data or audio. I've tried cleaning it- no joy. Is this a "bin" job do you think?

Also, check your IDE cable. The weirdest problems I have seen with HDD/CD devices, turns out to be a dicky cable.
