Play MPEG2 files over firewire to HDTV

Is there any utility/driver that allows HDTV output via 1394 firewire from a stored file on the computer out to an HDTV?

I can record HDTV from 1394 firewire to my computer but I would like to play those files on my HDTV.

Any help or pointers to the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
