hey,i just got handed a omnibook xe2 dc series notebook with nothing on it and i’m supposed to get it going …!!!I have any software for it. HP dosen’t help to much all programs are for downloading to the notebook ,…I need something to get her going again…when i format off the 98 boot disk it takes hours to get it going and it’s always searching for allocation files ..it is taking forever (like a low level format),,..(but ten times longer )please help me (my booss’s pc and he gave it to mewith nada ,,on it ,in it, or with it…!!!) Is there a free disk utility i can use to like perform a scandisk on c: ,,,or what can i do?????
