Please help with windows xp on hp pavilion

By Killerlineman71 ·
Ok I think i completely messed up here and i dont know if its really bad... I was having problems with my laptop and figured i would reboot it with a windows xp home edition service pack 2. The only thing i think its just for a pc. so everything that goes with my laptop could be gone. I cant find any other disk that goes with any of my computers. So now i have nothing for my wireless internet, no sound, nothing. I really dont know what to do with my laptop now. Is there anything that can be done to fix it back to its old self so i can go on my wireless internet and hear sound? Idk what to do anymore.

If you just Installed from the XP Disc

It's not going to have all of your System Drivers. You need to use the HP Recovery Media for this and since you have a Note Book here that should be on a Recovery Partition.

Go to the above link and download the HP Users Manual for your NB and find out how to use the Recovery Partition to reload your NB to the way it came from the factory new.

If you can not get to the Recovery Partition because you did something to delete it you'll need to contact HP and buy a Recovery Set of Disc's from them if you are unable to download it's drivers from HP's Web Site.

But as most new computers use Realtech Audio you need to know to load the Realtech Audio Drivers before connecting to the Windows Update Servers or you will never get the Audio Working.
