Basically, I tried to install a Yamaha UW500 sound studio, I tested the device by mapping a system sound to route through the device and it seemed to work. I then tried to run some of the supplied yamaha software, and my laptop locked up, now despite uninstalling the device from device manager, my laptop does not recognise it as new hardware when I plug it back in to the USB port, and I cannot re-install it either, also Windows will not shut down properly (I’ve got the fix for that), and whenever I click on Control Panel/sounds my laptop displays the wait icon and sounds does not load.
