Pocket PC Development

By John Wilker ·
What does everyone think of the Pocket PC as a platform? I am playing with Flash for the Pocket PC since I have some FLash experience already. The .NET Compact Framework looks interesting as do the older Visual tools, but they look like a lot of effort and overhead for such a small platform. What does the crowd think? What are you using?

There are .NET Framework 1.0 & 1.1
If you use Microsoft Visual Studio.Net (Enterprise Architect) , the .NET Framework is 1.1

Professional is 1.0

SmartPhone

by Bucky Kaufman (MCSD) In reply to Pocket PC Development

I'm excited about it. I have been since Microsoft first introduced MAPI then TAPI then SAPI. I always did want a Tricorder.

The next iteration of PocketPC is the SmartPhone. For about $500 you can order the SDK from Microsoft. It includes two handheld devices - not just emulators. But, of course - it's still just a ?eta!
