Point an application folder to network

By gsness ·
Here is my scenario:
-I have a program on each of our PC's that stores data into a folder on the local PC. This data needs to actually be placed into a share directory on our network (Win2k). I can not redirect the data from within the program; it will only point to a specific path (c:\program files\wav\). Does anyone out there know of a way to tweak windows to redirect the wav folder to a network share instead? A shortcut to the folder with the same name would not work, because the program must send it to the specified folder and wouldn't redirect to the network. I can not tweak the program to point to the network, so I figure Windows would probably be my last option. I have considered the possibility of using a batch file to automatically copy the data to the network directory, however I was wondering if there was a way to simply force the folder to redirect instead, eliminating the duplicate data on the PC's and the network. There would be about 9 users that would have this folder point to the same network share since they would be accessing and sharing the data within. The folder on the local PC only contains data and no program files, so there is no risk of losing any of the program integrity.

Any ideas?
