pointsec decryption question

I trying to decrypt the HD on my corporate worksation, I put the uninstall file in WORK folder, rebooted workstation, decryption not started, A week still 0%. Please help.

But without the system , software and the Encryption Key that you used to encrypt these items I don't fancy your chances of ever seeing the files again.

You need to talk to the suppliers of the Software/Firmware used to Encrypt the Files they may have a Universal Key to Unlock your Data but I personally wouldn't be holding my breath waiting. The entire idea of Encryption is to prevent others accessing your Data so if it's easily broken there is no point in wasting your time & effort encrypting the files in the first place is there?

The idea of encrypting the entire HDD including the boot sector is just a bad idea... Call Canada, which is where their help desk is. They are very good with helping out people... I had to deal with pointsec when I worked as a tech. It was a total nightmare....

You can connect the HDD to the newly reimaged pc as secondary and the PC should be with out pointsec and take databack up then format.check with the key you use for decryption whether the hostname are matching while you did encryption.
