In the news there’s the story of one backup tape that was lost, possibly resulting in the breach of 4.5 million customer records.

May 26 2008 : Bank of New York Mellon is under investigation by the Connecticut Attorney General, Richard Blumenthal, after a back-up tape holding sensitive customer information went missing.
