I am trying to access mail from a pop3 server using outlook like i do with gmail. if you have used gmail you know that you are able to choose in your gmail settings to leave the messages receieved in the inbox. and also, in outlook choose to leave a copy of the messages on the server. This way, you can check your messages from either outlook or from gmails web access or from any other account and always see those new messages as new. As it is now, if you download the messages from a pop3 server or exchange server, it marks the emails as read so that it knows which emails it has downloaded since last being checked. is there a way to have this happen without actually marking the email messages on the server as being read? i know this sounds confusing, if it isnt understood what i am looking for then i can elaborate.
