Port 389 not responding

Hi,

While installing “Cognos Impromptu 7.1 Admin” installation: “SUN ONE Directory server”, which is one of the prerequisties for the same, am getting Directory Sever port:389 not responding error.

I belive this port is related to LDAP. Ours is a Windows 2000 domain network and the installation is being performed on a Win2k Pof. client.

Can anybody tell me how to get this port respond.
